Just close your eyes and imagine that you are obliged to live somewhere in the middle of nowhere. In the 1920s the NSDAP obtained more votes in this part of the country than in any other parts. In terms of moral, it is not difficult to live and behave correctly in the Swabian purgatory as your neighbours are willing to support you. Simply add the most beautiful monocultures you have ever seen to it...

This release is also available as the album "Mair"* by Aris H on Le Dendrobate Magnetique. The E.P. on Weisskalt/Blauwarm includes only half of the tracks, has an other order of the tracks and a different cover. *so "Mairmaid" is not a spelling mistake.

The fifth Weisskalt/Blauwarm release comes from Italy. § did some dark music. It starts with the slow electro-track "Cactus", acanthaceous as to assume by the title. The second track continues with this mood, but a small nearly euphoric melody joined the murky face. The title-track slows down again. "Mushrooms" gets warmer and frisky. Some grating beats giving it an insecure frame. At the end "Strobo Disco" takes the listener to a slow-motioned scene in a discotheque at the peak-time...

The tracks and their titles are saying more than words. So the translated names are: 1. Form? 2. Persecution Mania. 3. Function? 4. Sentiment! First time in 320 KBit/s. Cover photos by: www.myspace.com/absolutergegenstand

Good news from the stars: aris_h is back on Weisskalt/Blauwarm. Sometimes warm, sometimes dark but always spectacular. Unique sounds meet diversified beats, clever structures and surprising details. This EP is the free version of his album "Tepi Zepi". Download the whole album.

|WkBw0010 - LAmA|
LAmA from Portugal did some warm and fragile music intermediate of Boards Of Canada and Air. Analog sounds are building melodies, while some shy drums are beating laid back like the heart of a sleeping whale. You can find an at least quite as lovely artwork as the music is for this release here: http://www.archive.org/details/WkBw0010Cover

At the traditional music-industry releasing a "Best of"-compilation is milking the (sometimes already dead) artist-cow twice, e.g. the upcoming one by Madonna or the actual of Michael Jackson. So why releasing a "Best of" for free download? It's simply the huge output of the open minded ever-changing live electronic music collective Esthing. Established in 1999 they recorded already 155 albums, summarized now to this 157-minutes-release...

Some listeners will think this band must be from iceland. They are totally wrong. Some listeners will think they know that voice. They are totally right. You have heard the singer before with her solo-project Maulani at Weisskalt/Blauwarm. This time her sensitive vocals gather with some electronica and acoustic instruments. Maybe you attend the birth of the next Bjork.

Weisskalt/Blauwarm celebrates three years of intelligent independent electronic music with its first compilation. Participants are most of the already known Weisskalt/Blauwarm-artists and some carefully selected friends. The style of this compilation is as multifaceted as the back catalogue is. Many thanks to the involved artists from [in alphabetical order]: Australia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United States of America...

The second release on Weisskalt/Blauwarm by BHL and the label's third. It stars with an off-beat-organ-song with a rather uncommon break. Thereafter "Mehlspeisenmuffel" is a combination of Techno, Electro, Pop and some Electronica. "Lahmbelästigung" as the third track slows down enormously. Hearing the first 30 seconds and the last 30 seconds you won't think it is same song. That's like the caterpillar and the butterfly...

|WkBw0002 - Waldfee|
Waldfee is a nearly daft alter ego of BHL. The four tracks should put the listeners in a good temper. For that reason Waldfee experiments not only with sounds but also with lyrics. The first song is a nearly conventional electro-pop-track. It plays with the radio-pop-scheme "strophe-chorus-strophe-chorus-chorus-bridge-chorus". At the same time tempo of the chours is bisected to the strophe and the bridge is half the tempo of the chorus...

Labelfounder BHL did the first release for Weisskalt/Blauwarm. It starts with a reminiscence to The Prodigy's album "Fat Of The Land". The german title is a ribald translation of it. So there are Hip Hop-beats, bass and inconvient, frightening sounds. The second track is a nearly 15 minutes lasting, dirty but at the same time fragile downbeat-journey. "Fernhart & Branca (Weisse Mäuse Sehen)" continues with dirt & fragility...
